Sacred Seven

Alex: Sacred Seven is a hard one to review. Whilst the premise itself is cliched, it’s more the way that it was drawn and executed. I had the constant belief that Sunrise would pull this off, until…well…a little bird told me that Sacred Seven was only 12 episodes. How the hell am I meant to deal with this? It’s almost like someone just had a strop and gave up, and the finale of the anime reflects that.
It’s got everything it needs. It’s even got the right company behind it. But it’s like it just threw everything away and couldn’t be bothered whatsoever. It’s cheap, pure entertainment, but it really has nothing special about it…at all. I don’t like talking about it, it just fills me with a sinking feeling of disappointment as you think of what it could have been, and what it’s turned into >_> What you’re left with is merely a less than bog-standard Robo Mecha anime with the occasional unique element thrown in it. From the company which created the amazingly unique Tiger & Bunny, like I said, this anime is just a disappointment and a waste of time.
