Atonement

What with the problem of “Is Rook returning to the show?” looming, this episode focuses on a pretty obvious thing, the thing the title suggests. Rook disappeared at the end of Season 1 to atone for his sins, and this episode was about Rook continuing to atone. However, the Orpheus Order gets more and more twisted each time around, making the rival this time around a child and his dog. And; well…it was pretty cheesy. But that’s not to say that cheese doesn’t work.
Whilst it was nice to have an episode focused on Rook, which brings the whole “Maybe he might not win after all” scenario back to everyone’s minds, I found myself expecting a little more from this episode, especially in terms of development for Rook. Nothing changed, if i’m to be honest. It didn’t really give him any new characterisation or any new traits, and didn’t do much apart from provide a pretty nice episode. However, at this point in the show, i’m expecting more than “pretty nice”, to be honest.
i wont be watching this then!!!
